Map export for print and games
Exporting map tiles from your MapTiler account is possible in several ways:
- For print: via MapTiler QGIS plugin
- For game engines: via World Creator
- For any purpose: directly from Tiles (available upon approval by MapTiler Sales)
Export multiplier
Once exported, we can no longer monitor how often that map is used, so we apply a multiplier for this “hidden usage”.
How it works: A map consists of map tiles. When you’re exporting a map, technically you’re requesting the map tiles needed for your map view via our Tiles API. Each export therefore involves a specific number of API requests. For the purpose of map export tracking, we multiply this number of API requests by a certain value (the multiplier). The resultant number is counted towards your monthly API quota.
Example: If you export 4 vector map tiles and the multiplier is 50, we deduce 200 requests from your monthly quota.
To check the current multiplier, see the table of all request types.
