Map data by MapTiler

All map data provided by MapTiler comes in tilesets. We use them ourselves to build the selection of ready-made maps for you, so you can simply pick and use any of them as-is.

In case you’re building a specialized map, it can happen that none of our ready-made maps precisely match your needs. In that case, you can enrich a ready-made map with data from additional tilesets and combine them to get the exact result you want. Expert users can even build their own map style using our tilesets. For that purpose, you’ll need advanced information available in this section.

Data updates

Each of our tilesets has a different update schedule. The main tilesets that contain a lot of changing details are updated every 2 weeks, others less frequently or ad hoc. To get the exact date of the last update, go to page Tiles, click on the tileset you’re interested in, and check the section Tileset details.

Most of our professional tilesets are also available for self-hosting. You can get a standard package for a specific country or the whole world, or select your own custom extract to get exactly the part you need. Check out the on-prem datasets to see what’s available.
