Exported Tiles Multiplier
It’s possible to export tiles from MapTiler Cloud for use in other software, such as gaming engines, or map images in printed publications. Once exported from MapTiler, we can no longer monitor how often that map is used, so we apply a multiplier to exports to account for this hidden usage. Each tile export is multiplied and then counted against your monthly Cloud requests.
The multiplier is currently set to 50, which we feel fair represents the average amount of usage an exported map tile gets.
To help you to monitor your map usage accurately, we break down your usage so you can see how much of your monthly quota has been used in normal map requests (shown in blue) and how much was made up of map exports (shown in orange). Simply go to the Analytics section of your MapTiler Cloud Account to see what you have used.
We have also provided a page with more information about what a map request is.
