License activation

This article is going to show you step-by-step how to activate and deactivate a software license in MapTiler Engine. The process is identical in both free and paid versions.

Activating your license in MapTiler Engine

First, open the MapTiler Engine application. Go to the “Account” menu at the top of the screen and click “License Key“:

Paste or type in your license key and click the “ACTIVATE” button. The application will verify your key. If correct, a pop-up window will appear and your application will upgrade to the version corresponding to the license you have purchased.

Keep in mind that one license is limited to one computer at a time, so it can’t be activated on more computers at the same time.

Moving your license to a different computer

If you wish to move the MapTiler Engine application to a different computer, you need to deactivate your license key first. The same applies to situations when you upgrade your current hardware (RAM, Storage, Graphics…). Just click the “DEACTIVATE“ button and use your license key on a different machine.
