MapTiler Planet updates
MapTiler Planet tileset is updated roughly every 2-3 weeks. The timestamp of each update is recorded in the metadata list. You can find this metadata list in MapTiler Cloud on every tilesets sub-page.
We run quality and compliance checks on every updated version. The major part of the data comes from OpenStreetMap, which unfortunately suffers from occasional “vandalism”, especially near disputed border territories. Quality and compliance checks are done in collaboration with our partners. These checks take 3-4 weeks to finish, depending on the number of total edits and the number of suspicious edits which need to be checked repeatedly or manually. Then we need another week or two to process all input data into vector tiles.
The attribute “Data from” is the timestamp of the OSM data freeze. Click the following link to quickly view the details of the tileset: MapTiler Planet Tiles. OSM data snapshot is taken every approximately every 2 weeks. MapTiler Data team is not in charge to decide when the OSM data snapshot will be taken.
