# API client ![MapTiler logo](https://docs.maptiler.com/favicon.ico)

The MapTiler SDK JS wraps API calls to the [MapTiler Cloud API](https://docs.maptiler.com/cloud/api) in helper functions. It uses the [API Client JS library](https://docs.maptiler.com/client-js/) under the hood and exposes its functions directly.

**Example**

```js
// In an async function or as a thenable:
const result = await maptilersdk.geocoding.forward('paris');
```

## Functions

These are the built-in service wrapper functions:

-   [Geocoding](https://docs.maptiler.com/client-js/#-geocoding)
-   [Geolocation](https://docs.maptiler.com/client-js/#%EF%B8%8F%EF%B8%8F-geolocation)
-   [Coordinates](https://docs.maptiler.com/client-js/#-coordinates)
-   [Data](https://docs.maptiler.com/client-js/#-data)
-   [Static maps](https://docs.maptiler.com/client-js/#%EF%B8%8F-static-maps)
-   [Elevation](https://docs.maptiler.com/client-js/#%EF%B8%8F-elevation)
-   [Math](https://docs.maptiler.com/client-js/#-math)
-   [Languages](https://docs.maptiler.com/client-js/#language)

You can use any function documented in the Client JS library by replacing `maptilerClient` with `maptilersdk` in your code.

**Examples**

```diff
- const result = await maptilerClient.geocoding.reverse([6.249638, 46.402056]);
+ const result = await maptilersdk.geocoding.reverse([6.249638, 46.402056]);
- const result = await maptilerClient.geolocation.info();
+ const result = await maptilersdk.geolocation.info();
```
