# MapTiler Server command line interface (CLI)

## Start MapTiler Server

_maptiler-server --workDir=~/maptilerServer_  
_maptiler-server starts maptiler server \[default\]_  
_maptiler-server init initialize working directory_

## General Options

**_\--version_**  
(Show version number \[boolean\])  
**_\--help_**  
(Show help \[boolean\])

## Working directory

**_\--workDir <PATH>_**  
(working directory where config.json and tile sets are placed) \[string\] \[required\]  
\[default: “/home/miki/Downloads/MTServer/betabin”\])

## Port

**_\--port_**  
(\[string\] \[required\] \[default: “3650”\])

## Administration

**_\--withAdmin_**  
(set to false for start without administration  
\[boolean\] \[required\] \[default: true\])  
**_\--adminPassword_**  
(administration will be protected with provided password  
instead of configured (or generated in case of start  
without config file) \[string\])

## License activation

**_\--licenseKey <PATH>_**  
(license key for activation during start, preferred over  
environment variable MAPTILER\_SERVER\_LICENSE \[string\])  
**_\--licenseServer <URL>_**  
(license server URL for on-premise activation during start, preferred over environment variable MAPTILER\_SERVER\_LICENSE\_SERVER \[string\])

## Rasterization

**_\--rasterization_**  
(turns on/off map rasterization \[boolean\] \[default: true\])
