# Interface ModelAnnotationPosition

Position of an annotation in MODEL space: relative to the SplatModel's bounding box, so the annotation sticks to its spot on the model and follows it wherever it goes (moved, dragged, rotated or scaled).

- `x` and `z` are normalized to the bounding box: `0` is its center and `-1` / `1` are its faces, so e.g. `{ x: 1, z: -1 }` is one of its corners. Values outside of `[-1, 1]` place the annotation outside of the box.
- `y` is optional, see [AnnotationPosition](https://docs.maptiler.com/geosplats-sdk/api/types/AnnotationPosition/) for how high the annotation sits.

    [x](#x): number;
    [y](#y)?: number;
    [z](#z): number;
}
